I believe that the counselling relationship should be one of collaboration, mutual respect, and understanding. Clients are the experts of their lives, so it is my job to meet them “where they are”, combine our expertise and journey together to self-awareness and change. Throughout my 12 years of experience, I have worked with children, teens, adults, couples, groups, and families on varying challenges that occur throughout our development such as stress management, time management, conflict resolution, grief and loss, major life changes, and anxiety.
Every client is unique and as such my approach takes the uniqueness of each client and the systems in which they operate into consideration. I strive to help clients look within themselves and in their environments to develop the tools needed to cope with life’s challenges through talk therapy and alternative and more creative approaches such as play therapy and bibliotherapy.
